The Tablet of My Heart is one author's timely response to a subject that needs to be repeatedly brought to the forefront of the minds of the public so we do not fail to recognize the signs of child abuse when they are present.

Elizabeth Walker is not only the author of the book, she is also the author of the journal that the book was created from. Say's the author, "I hope that readers will gain insight into the abysmal pain of abuse, and understanding in regards to what it steals from it's victims. For victims themselves, I hope to bring to them the realization that there is hope for them - that there is happiness outside of their victimization. I hope to get the national abuse hotline into the hands of the people who need it, whichever end of the abuse they are on. I believe the content of this story can help people, in conjunction, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to childhelp, for the treatment and prevention of child abuse."
